Broom Leaf Beetle Gonioctena olivacea (Forster, 1771)
Seemingly unknown (even historically) in Nottinghamshire, until found to be common on Broom Cytisus scoparius in the car park of Manton Pit Wood at Worksop in early July 2017 (Pendleton, T.A. and Pendleton, D.T.). More often known as the Broom Leaf Beetle, Gonioctena olivacea has a rather patchy distribution across the UK, with many central counties of the UK having no records and it has recently turned up at Clumber Park and on the former Calverton Colliery site (Brownley, N. and Brownley, S.).
