Gorytes laticinctus (Lepeletier, 1832)
Nationally, this rare wasp is classed as RDB3 and there are few UK records. he few that are listed on the NBN Atlas, are spread widely over south-eastern counties and this Nottinghamshire record from Netherfield Lagoons on August 4th 2019, is by far the furthest north. Gorytes laticinctus is often associated with areas of rough vegetation, such as around Brambles in open situations. Our thanks go to Peter Smith (who found the species), for once again kindly allowing us to use his photographs on the website.
