Pipiza noctiluca (Linnaeus, 1758)
Widespread across the UK, yet despite being very commonly recorded historically in Nottinghamshire, there seem to be few recent records which we are aware of. The female Pipiza noctiluca in the photographs, was found and photographed at Portland Park at Kirkby-in-Ashfield, in early May 2017 and there are recent records from Attenborough NR in 2015 (Sexton, T.) and Budby South Forest (Wetton, B.) in 1995.
