Rhamphomyia crassirostris (Fallén, 1816
One of a number of very similar species and (again) another member of our Dipterous fauna with very few recent Nottinghamshire records. In fact, there appear to be just two modern county records. These are from Netherfield Lagoons in 2012 (Peter Smith/Netherfield Wildlife Group) and most recently, from along a fence at the entrance to the Dukeries Garden Centre in 2021.
