Nephrotoma appendiculata (Pierre, 1919)
This well marked Crane Fly is one of the so called Tiger Crane Flies, through its combination of yellow and black markings. There are numerous species, all very similarly marked and difficult to identify correctly. This Nephrotoma appendiculata was found nectaring on Cow Parsley at Clipstone Old Quarter in May 2011.
