Having undergone a slight layout change at the end of 2007, eakringbirds.com is an increasingly comprehensive internet resource for Nottinghamshire Natural History. It was first published on the internet as long ago as 1999, originally titled "The Eakring Birds Web Pages" and was largely dedicated to the birds found within the agricultural setting of Eakring and Kersall. There was an expansion of the website in 2002, to include coverage of the area's butterflies, moths and dragonflies. Further expansion in 2005 saw the inclusion of even more insects, including many from other sites in Nottinghamshire. Now the website also includes photos and identification help for ladybirds and other beetles, shieldbugs, grasshoppers and crickets, hoverflies, bees and wasps.
