Epinotia maculana (Fabricius, 1775)
Status .....A rather dull, late-flying species, which may be the reason for it appearing to be genuinely rare in Nottinghamshire. Apart from one to MV light at the Idle Valley NR in 2013, we are unaware of any other recent records, although of course, micromoths are still largely ignored by many moth trappers and still very much under-recorded.
