Pyralis lienigialis (Zeller, 1843)
Status .....This attractive moth is not known to have ever occured historically in Nottinghamshire, being found in decreasing numbers from a number of counties in the south Midlands. There are strong similarities between this species and the commoner Pyralis farinalis and although unlikely to ever be found in Nottinghamshire, with the recent trend for the unexpected to turn up, recorders should be aware.
